Sample Studio is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what that means for your data.
Last updated September 10, 2026Sample Studio is developed and published by Sleeping Giant Marketing Services Private Limited ("we," "us," or "our"). It's a sampler, sequencer and performance instrument that runs entirely on your device. On Android, it has no account system, no backend server, and — importantly — no internet permission at all. This policy explains what that means in practice, and walks through every permission the app requests and exactly why.
Sample Studio for iOS is planned for a future release. The permissions section below currently describes the Android app; the same commitment — no accounts, no tracking, everything stays on your device — will carry over when the iOS app ships, and this page will be updated to reflect it at that time.
Because Sample Studio never connects to the internet, we have no way to collect, store, or transmit personal information, and we don't try to. Specifically, the app does not:

Android requires apps to declare each permission they use. Here is the complete list Sample Studio requests, and the specific feature each one enables:

Notice what's not on this list: there is no location permission, no contacts permission, and no internet permission.
Projects, samples, and exported audio files are stored locally in the app's own storage on your device. When you use the export or share feature, the resulting file goes exactly where you tell it to — a folder you choose, or another app you pick from Android's share sheet. That file never passes through a server we run, because we don't run one.
If you uninstall Sample Studio, its locally stored projects and samples are removed along with it, following standard Android behavior — so back up anything you want to keep before uninstalling.
Sample Studio does not currently integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services. If that ever changes in a future update, we will revise this policy first and update the date at the top of this page so it's easy to tell.
Sample Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, for the simple reason that it doesn't collect personal information from anyone at all. The app has no chat, messaging, or social features of any kind.
We may update this policy as Sample Studio evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date above. We encourage you to check back occasionally, especially before a major app update.
